About Martin Fickweiler

“I like to explore. Not knowing what to expect makes me more alive in the present time. Living in the present time means experiencing what is happening NOW without being distracted by the past nor the future. I feel close to the origin of men when I’m visiting remote places and climb mountains where no-one climbed on before. I believe that experiencing nature through an intense activity like climbing will bring me closer to myself and helps me to understand my true thoughts and feelings en thereby shows me the reason of my existence. If there was no such thing as climbing I would have to find something else to give my life direction.”
